About my work,

These works incorporate several venues I am currently working on.  The subtle abstract landscapes derive from my love of color and space, and the simplicity of my birthplace, Kansas.  I use color to achieve mood and feeling.

The intensely brilliant Cosmic Tale Paintings have been inspired by the feelings I get from the Hubble Telescope Photos and the immense wonder of Space. The incorporate various media and depict Space and Time, recurrent themes in all my work.

I grew up in Kansas and have a BFA in Painting from the Kansas City Art Institute and School of Design (1967).  I currently live in Western Pennsylvania with my husband.

I have shown locally and nationally and love to travel.  Many of my pieces are in private collections.

The pots are called CELEBRATION BOWLS.   These bowls are mainly ornamental, but they have been fired to 1915°F and are finished with acrylics.  I refer to them as FAUX RAKU.  The finish enables them to be used for dry foods.  They are not dishwasher safe.

Enjoy!
